Stop by the Nickelodeon booth to voiceover classic and current Nick cartoons, like The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender, TMNT, SpongeBob, Rugrats and more.

11am and 5pm: The Legend of Korra button giveaways at the Nickelodeon booth.

Co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartinto will be joined by voice stars Janet Varney (Korra), David Faustino (Mako), Seychelle Gabriel (Asami), Mindy Sterling (Lin Beifong) and John Michael Higgins (Varrick). Submit questions for our panelists HERE.

1:15pm-3:15pm: The Legend of Korra signing at the Nickelodeon booth, featuring all of our amazing panelists above!

Throughout Friday: Korra Nation will be cruising the floor to award our favorite cosplayers Korra swagbags :)

Moderator Avatar_Mom, Kevin Coppa (Puppetbenders), Elizabeth Furr (fan artist/Amira Ink!), Gene Luen Yang (writer/cartoonist), Angela Song Mueller (character designer), Josh Hamilton (writer), and Jessie Flower (voice actor for Toph) share stories and answer questions.

2-4pm: The Legend of Korra signing at the Dark Horse Booth, featuring Michael Dante DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, Gene Luen Yang, Gurihiru & Jessie Flower. For event entry, pick up a wristband at the Dark Horse Booth on Friday or Saturday when the convention opens at 9:30am.

4-7pm: The Legend of Korra video game rooftop party and signing at Stingaree San Diego, hosted by Activision. For event entry, pick up your an LoK lanyard (while they last!) at the Nickelodeon booth.

Learnt an interesting thing today on this arabic course,

The original Arabic number system looked like this, the one we now use.

It was designed so each character had the corresponding number of angles to the number, so the number 1 has 1 angle, 2 has 2 angles, 3 has 3, 0 has none etc…

It is so obvious now, I’ve always assumed its one of those things that just is, with no logical explanation, but here it is, perfectly simple and satisfying

This is the evolution of the modern numeral system. PLEASE STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION. The history of Mathematics is awesome and amazing and Arabs made tons and tons of progress and invented many of the concepts we use today, but a numeral system based on angles IS NOT ONE OF THEM.
